Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
At Opucore LLC, we believe you should always know what data we collect from you, how we use it, and—most importantly—how you can control it. This page provides a high-level overview of our privacy practices.
This Privacy Policy (herein referred to as “Policy”) explains how Opucore LLC (herein referred to as the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) processes Personal Data that we collect from you (herein referred to as the “Subscriber”) as a Controller.
1. DEFINITIONS. (a) “Controller” means the natural or legal person, public authority, agency, or other body, which alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of processing Personal Data. (b) “Personal Data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject”). An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier, or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person. (c) “Service(s)” means Marketing, SEO, Brand Boosting, Award Services and Select Advertising. (i) “Subscriber” means the natural or legal person who has subscribed to the Service(s) by agreeing to the Terms. (ii) “Terms” means the binding contract between Opucore LLC and Subscriber that governs the Subscriber's access and use of the Service(s).
2. DATA COLLECTION. The Subscriber directly provides Opucore LLC with most of the data we collect. Opucore LLC collects Personal Data from the Subscriber from the following sources: Data usually flows through three main pipelines: things you tell us, things we observe you doing, and things you buy from elsewhere. 1. Direct Sources (What you provide) This is often called Zero Party or First-Party data. It is the most accurate because it comes straight from the "horse's mouth." Forms & Registrations: Your name, company name, position, email, phone number and birthday when you sign up for a newsletter, create an account, enter a competition, background checks, and other forms requested. Surveys & Quizzes: Feedback forms, quizzes, and NPS (Net Promoter Score) surveys. Customer Support: Transcripts from live chats, recordings of phone calls, forms, and support ticket history. Loyalty Programs: Information linked to your "rewards card" that tracks what you buy in exchange for discounts. 2. Indirect/Observational Sources (What you watch) This data is collected automatically in the background as you interact with their digital or physical space. Web Tracking: * Cookies: Small files that track your session and site preferences. Pixels/Beacons: Invisible images that tell a company if you opened an email or clicked an ad. Heatmaps: Tools like Hotjar that record where you move your mouse or click on a page. Mobile Apps: Tracking your GPS location, device type, and how much time you spend in the app. IoT & Physical Sensors: Smart thermostats, event site cameras, and third-party sites may track your information. 3. External Sources -In the event Opucore LLC deems necessary, we purchase your outside data from reputable data brokers, see information from public records, professional registries and/or acquire information from Second-Party Data: A "data swap" between partners.
3. PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA. (a) Opucore LLC processes the Subscriber’s Personal Data to The purposes generally fall into four main buckets: 1. Functional Necessity Some data is collected simply so the website works as you expect it to. Without this, your digital experience would be incredibly frustrating. Authentication: Remembering that you are logged in so you don’t have to enter your password on every single page. E-commerce: Keeping track of what’s in your shopping cart while you continue browsing. Security: Monitoring IP addresses to detect fraudulent login attempts or DDoS attacks. 2. User Experience (UX) & Personalization Websites use data to tailor the environment to your specific needs and preferences. Preferences: Remembering your language settings, "Dark Mode" choice, or regional currency. Recommendations: Using your past behavior to suggest movies, products, or articles you might actually enjoy. Optimization: If data shows 90% of users struggle to find the "Checkout" button, the developers will move it to a more intuitive spot. 3. Analytics and Performance Site. This data is usually aggregated (meaning it looks at trends, not you specifically). Trac Sources: Understanding if people found the site via Google, social media, or a direct link. Engagement: Seeing which pages are popular and which ones cause people to leave immediately ("bounce rate"). Device Compatibility: Knowing if most users are on iPhones or PCs helps developers prioritize which version of the site to polish first. 4. Marketing and Monetization This is the most controversial category, as it often involves sharing data with third parties. Ad Targeting: Showing you ads for hiking boots because you spent twenty minutes reading trail reviews. Attribution: Helping a brand understand that you bought a shirt because you saw their ad three days ago. Market Research: Understanding the demographics (age, location, interests) of their audience to build better products. (b) Opucore LLC will generally collect highly sensitive Personal Data (personal identification numbers) from Subscribers only where it needs to create a contract with the Subscriber, where the processing is in Opucore LLC’s legitimate interests and not overridden by the Subscriber’s data protection interests or fundamental rights and freedoms, or where the Opucore LLC has the Subscriber’s consent. In some cases, the Opucore LLC may also have a legal obligation to collect Personal Data from the Subscriber. (c) If Opucore LLC processes Personal Data with the Subscriber’s consent, the Subscriber may withdraw their consent at any time, but they will lose membership and will not be provided a refund. 4. SHARING OF PERSONAL DATA. (a) The Subscriber acknowledges that Opucore LLC may share the Subscriber’s Personal Data with its group companies and third-party service providers and to the Subscriber Opucore LLC’s Service(s) and/or send information or updates about the Service(s). (b) When Opucore LLC processes the Subscriber’s order, it may send the Subscriber’s Personal Data and use the resulting information from credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases. (c) Opucore LLC shares Personal Data in the following instances Here is a breakdown of the primary purposes for sharing that data: 1. Core Service Fulfillment. Opucore LLC may outsource specific tasks to specialized companies (i.e. backgrounds or credit checks). Payment Processing: Sharing your credit card and billing info with companies like Stripe or other payment processing companies to handle transactions securely. Logistics & Shipping: Giving your address, name, and phone number to FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL or other services so your package arrives at your door. Communication: Sending your email address to services like Mailchimp or other similar services so Opucore LLC can send you newsletters, password resets, or SMS alerts. 2. Infrastructure & Security Companies often share technical data with third-party tools to keep the site fast and safe. Fraud Prevention: Sharing IP addresses and device fingerprints with services like Sift or Riskified to flag "bot" behavior or stolen credit cards. Cloud Hosting: Your data is technically "shared" with the server provider (like WIX, AWS, Google Cloud, etc) where the website’s database lives. Error Monitoring: Sending technical logs to companies like security companies to help developers fix the site when it crashes for you. 3. Advertising & Retargeting This is the most common reason for sharing data that doesn't directly benefit the user's immediate task. Ad Networks: Sharing your browsing habits with Google, Meta, etc, so they/we can show you relevant ads across the internet. Retargeting: If you look at a pair of shoes but don't buy them, the site shares that specific "event" with an ad partner so you see those same shoes in an ad on a different website later. Lookalike Modeling: A company might share its subscriber list with a social media platform to find "people similar to these subscribers" to target with new ads.
4. Analytics & Market Research Sites share data to understand who their customers are and how they behave in the aggregate. Behavioral Insights: Using Google Analytics or Mixpanel to see which features are popular and which are being ignored. Data Enrichment: Sharing an email address with a data broker (like Acxiom or Experian) to "buy back" more info about you, such as your estimated income, household size, or interests, to build a more complete profile.
